Loved this series. The plot went along just at the right speed and the author makes the main characters so personable you just know you'd recognize them on the street. The series was not rated a 5 because I feel that the hopeless, helpless funk thatGraciela and Millie have sunk into has gone on too long. Also, I think that Gracie has been more than a little lucky in some of the scrapes she's gotten herself into. Can't wait to read the next book. Lyla Payne has been added to my list of go-to authors.

I got very involved with these characters. A very enjoyable series with plenty of character development and plot twists. Looking forward to the last book.
A very fast paced ghostly mystery. Just the kind I like.
These mysteries have a little bit of otherworldly in them and a whole lot of dangerous and silly things. I enjoyed this box set and will look forward to reading more!
I read my first book out of order and I found it confusing. Too many characters whose story I was unfamiliar with but now having read the books in order it all comes together for a really fun read.
This is the first time I have read this author. The last book, Quite Curious, I really enjoyed, reading the other characters point of view was very interesting. It did answer a few questions about how they felt about each other. I will be reading more of her books. I had a hard time putting the book down. I found it to be a real page turner.
If you like your heroines dipsy, you'll enjoy this. Good descriptions of the Low country and Charleston; author clearly knows the area. Dislike the cheap trick of ending each book with a hanging "terrible event" to be addressed in the next book - it's as if the Author doesn't trust that the books are good enough to attract readers in the future .
I got the first book in this series as a freebie and enjoyed it so much that when I saw I could get books 1-3 (and a novella) for $0.99 I jumped on it. While there are more time than I can count that I just want to smack Graciela and say "what are you doing/thinking?", what she does/says/thinks or doesn't always ends up putting her in interesting (and sometimes dangerous) situations. There are more books in this series and I can't wait to find out what happens with Graciela, Amelia, Beau and everyone else!
